Letter March 1998
Cabaret Review
A packed house enjoyed an
entertaining evening of Circus Cabaret on March
7th. Tickets were all sold out - again! Acts
including Heir of Insanity, Le La Les, Foolhardy
Folk and Ramon Cordell. The highlight of the
evening was Mark Digby's summersault through the
stage - HA!
The next Cabarets will take place at St.Gregory's
on the 16th and 17th Oct , as part of the Norwich
Festival. - If we can fit one in before then,
we'll let you know.
Acro Classes
Will start again, by popular
demand, at Bignold First School on Thursday 23rd
April at 6 p.m. Each session will cost £5
payable on the night. The classes will be taken
by Mark Digby and Cosmo Hardy, and will be
suitable for beginners and improvers alike.
The Acro sessions will be followed from 7:30 p.m.
to 9:30 p.m. by skills swap sessions. Bring your
equipment along and practice your Juggling,
Unicycling, devil Sticks or whatever with
like-minded enthusiasts.
Sessions cost £2 each.
Acro & Skills swap sessions are held every
Thursday during school term time.
Trapeze weekend
Saturday and Sunday 4th and
5th April.
The trapeze workshops were taught by Jenny
Sanderson and Aimee Thomas, professional
performers with 'Fruit Troup' aerial dance group.
The trapezes were rigged at Parkside School, and
all the participants enjoyed their chance to try
this demanding skill. We will be holding another
on Saturday 26th and 27th of September, please
let us know if you are interested. £20 per day.
Children's Festival of
Circus
Planned for the week ending
21st June 1998. The project will involve local
schools bringing children along during the day to
partake in circus skills sessions in the
Foolhardy Folk Big Top. A top class show entitled
' The Dungeon' can be seen in the evenings, from
Wednesday until Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Norwich Festival 1998
The Norwich Circus Centre is
still hoping for a large involvement in this
years Festival, but just how much, depends on the
Festival Organisers - More in the next news
letter.

Clubswinging and Fire
We will be holding a weekend
course on the 24th and 25th of October and on
Thursday the 30th of October during the evenings,
culminating on the 31st with a public fire show
at Thornham Magna. If you are interested then
please get in touch.
